Hey Y’all! I’m Kari, a southern girl at heart, who couldn’t survive with out a fresh Dr. Pepper, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, a glass of cold whole milk and a hot Krispy Kreme doughnut. I am a Wife to James, my rock. He keeps me grounded, my biggest fan and cheerleader and sometimes the biggest pain in my neck, but truly my best friend who I couldn’t imagine doing life without. I am a Mom to two BEAUTIFUL blonde haired, blue eyed kiddos, Paisley Ann and Parker Drake who keep life fast paced, always moving and hilariously funny… OH, and of course, four chocolate labs, Colbie, Remy, McCoy and Ryder who are always up to something… or should I say, getting into something.
I am a James Madison University Alumni (GO DUKES!), seriously… I am sure that I bleed purple.
Following in the footsteps of my Mother, a 30 year Wedding Planning Veteran, I opened the doors to my own company in 2013. Two River Events was born from my own wedding. With the years of experience between my mom and I, the only regret I had on my wedding day, was not having someone there to call my “coordinator”. My phone never stopped ringing, my mom had to have her hair done twice (because sweating from putting burlap on hay bales will do that), and that overwhelming feeling of wondering if everything was done the way I had envisioned it were enough for me to say… “I want to take that stress off of others.”. So, I took a leap of faith and here I am. What started as a “free time project”, has turned into a full time venture. After three incredible years of working with amazing, and I mean AH-MAZING clients and vendors, I am so eager to continue watching this business grow into more than I could have ever imagined. One of my favorite things has been the friendships that I have gained. I love getting know my clients, and watching a business relationship turn into a great friendship. I am humbled to be part of the first day of a new chapter of life for so many. I love happily ever afters and look forward to meeting you!
